WHAT IS PVD COATING?

Our new collection ADAPT is made from 925 sterling silver with an 18k gold PVD coating - our focus is on providing you with high-quality jewellery with attention to detail.

PVD (physical vapor deposition) is achieved with a high-pressure heat process. This process makes our jewellery 10 times more durable than your standard electro gold plating.

Buvy jewels are suitable for sensitive skin and will not tarnish in the shower, but please keep them away from chlorine, chemicals and perfumes. The 18k gold coating will wear over time however if carefully looked after our jewellery can keep its colour and shine for many years.

 

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?

Our first collections, Tout Est Magique and Essentials 01 are made from gold-filled materials. Gold-filled is more affordable than solid gold but more long-lasting than gold-plated. The jewellery from these collections are made from 14k gold filled with a brass base, they are nickel, lead, and cadmium-free, and suitable for sensitive skin. Buvy jewels will not tarnish in the shower but please keep them away from chlorine, chemicals and perfumes.
